Cabin Construction

A new journey has begun for Flounder and Family.  We are building a cabin on an island.  This will be a summer of many firsts for us, and I am excited to have this project finally under way.  To give you an idea of how things have progressed so far:

December 2010: Purchase 4 windows for the cabin off of Craigs list.  Store windows in the garage.  Drop plumbers wrench on top of window.  Okay, 3 windows for the cabin...put plywood over remaining windows.

May 2011:  Miss window of opportunity to get the 4-wheeler by driving.  Must now boat 4-wheeler over to island.  4-wheeler (purchased for cabin construction) is still in our back yard.

June 2011:  Call from hubby at 10:50 pm while on the island - "um, I may need a little help here...the boat has floated away from the island..."

Ah, yes, excitement, anticipation, and medical kit at the ready for the adventure to come.
